Adani Defense will make anti-submarine warfare system: Deal done with American company Spartan; Indian Navy’s strength will increase
Gautam Adani’s company Adani Defense and Aerospace will make anti-submarine warfare (ASW) system for the Indian Navy. For this, a deal has been done with the US company Spartan.
Till now India was dependent on foreign imports for this system, but with the partnership of Adani-Spartan, this technology will be developed in the country itself. This will increase the ability to detect, track and destroy submarines.
ASW tracks the activities of submarines inside the sea
Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) tracks the activities of submarines inside the sea. It has a sonar buoy device that uses sonar waves inside the sea. It is an important part of the Navy’s Undersea Domain Awareness (UDA) strategy.
ASW systems will be developed in India
Adani Enterprises Vice President Jeet Adani said the Indian Navy needs integrated, mission-ready ISR and anti-submarine warfare capabilities. This includes critical systems like sonar buoys. These systems will be developed indigenously. This initiative will promote ‘designed, developed and manufactured in India’ technology.”
Adani Defense CEO Ashish Rajvanshi said, “For decades, India was dependent on imports for such critical technologies. This partnership will connect global level sonar buoy technology to Indian defense.
Adani Defense is also manufacturing UAV drones
Adani Defense and Aerospace is also manufacturing UAV drones in factories in Uttar Pradesh. Drones working with the help of AI technology are included in the fleet of the Indian Army. Along with reconnaissance of the enemy, these drones are capable of destroying their bases.
Adani Group is spending about Rs 3 thousand crore for this manufacturing plant spread over 500 acres in Kanpur Defense Corridor. Weapons are being made here in the field of counter drone, intelligence-reconnaissance technology and cyber defense. The company will make ammunition for the armed forces, paramilitary forces and police.
