IndiGo partnered with these big foreign airline companies, connectivity to Europe and North America will increase
Airline companies Indigo, Delta Air Lines, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic on Sunday announced a partnership to increase air connectivity from India to Europe and North America. According to the statement, “Connecting dozens of cities in the US, Canada, Europe and India, the airline companies aim to meet the growing demand for international travel. Along with this, new standards for connectivity and cooperation in global aviation are to be set.” India’s largest airline IndiGo is expanding its international network and is preparing to start flights to 10 foreign cities in the current financial year.
In which businesses will the companies work together under the partnership
Indigo CEO Peter Albers, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian, Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith and Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss jointly announced this partnership in Delhi. India is one of the fastest growing civil aviation markets in the world. IndiGo is in partnership with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic from 2022. Meanwhile, under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) announced on Sunday, efforts will be made to create a framework for deeper cooperation between airlines on a bilateral and multilateral basis. Apart from this, the airlines will also consider commercial cooperation including network, loyalty, cargo and sales.
Delta will resume service to India
The statement said that they will also explore areas of non-commercial cooperation including aircraft maintenance, stability, training and ground maintenance. IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers said that the company has embarked on an ambitious journey to become a global airline by 2030. In a joint statement, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian said that it will resume flights to India in the coming years. Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith said that the airline is very happy to extend its existing partnership with IndiGo and partner with Delta and Virgin Atlantic.

Benjamin Smith said, “India is a strategic market for Air France-KLM, where we have a strong and historical presence and will soon expand it further. We look forward to welcoming IndiGo customers on our flights and playing an active role in the country’s connectivity.” Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian said the company would resume flights to India in the coming years.
