Agreement on trade cooperation between ASSOCHAM of India and SWISSMEM of Switzerland
India’s leading business organization ASSOCHAM and SWISSMEM of Switzerland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on trade cooperation in Bern on 10 June 2025. Its objective is to promote trade, investment and technical cooperation between the industries of the two countries.
What is the objective of this agreement- To create a framework for strong business relations between ASSOCHAM and SWISSMEM. To encourage businesses of both countries for strategic partnerships, investment opportunities and technical cooperation. To promote the exchange of trade fairs, exhibitions and business delegations.
Exchange of information and publications related to trade, investment and policy. Connecting member companies for joint ventures, technology transfer and production cooperation. Business missions, workshops, seminars and technical exhibitions are organized. There is cooperation on planning and implementation of joint activities by both the organizations.
Validity and terms of the agreement:
This MoU will come into effect from 10 June 2025 and will be valid for three years. The agreement can be terminated by either party by giving three months’ notice. This agreement will be free from any legal liability or obligation.
Both parties will protect confidential information, intellectual property rights related to the collaboration will remain shared for three years even after termination. The logo and brand name can be used only after permission.
This agreement is going to give a new direction to cooperation in the industry between India and Switzerland. This will give companies of both countries access to new possibilities and partnerships, especially in the field of machinery, technology, and high-quality manufacturing.
