YEIDA will buy land in 55 villages adjacent to Noida Airport, farmers will get the price at this rate
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is going to buy agricultural land from farmers in 55 villages adjacent to Noida International Airport. According to the information received from YEIDA, there is a preparation to buy agricultural land from the farmers of 55 villages of Bulandshahr for the development of new urban areas. The rate has been fixed for this. Sources said that five months ago, YEIDA had constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Shailendra Bhatia, which on Tuesday submitted its report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Authority Arun Veer Singh, in which the land rates have been finalized so that the purchase of land can be started without delay.
Recommendation will be made before the board
Now the report will be placed before the board and a recommendation will be made to approve the purchase of land at the fixed rate. The committee has fixed the rates keeping in mind the rates offered by the neighboring Gautam Buddha Nagar district. Since 55 villages of Bulandshahr have been notified for the planned district, it has been decided to offer a better rate. After getting official approval by the board, the authority will start buying land from the farmers.
At what rate will the land be bought
According to the information received, if a farmer wants to take a residential plot (7% of the total acquired land), he will get Rs 3,800 per square meter (sq m), and if he does not want to take it, the rate will be Rs 4,300 per sq m. The authority decided to give this rate when the farmers demanded the same saying that the farmers of Gautam Buddha Nagar district get Rs 4,300 per sq m, because they are giving land for airport and other infrastructure projects. These rates (₹ 3,800 and ₹ 4,300 per sq m) will be given to the people of 55 villages coming in Bulandshahr district. On June 23, 2023, YIDA had notified these villages for planned development.
