Indian Railways’ new app ‘RailOne’ launched: IRCTC reserved, unreserved and platform tickets can be booked; facilities like PNR and train status will also be available

Indian Railways launched a new super app ‘RailOne’. This app has been brought with the aim of providing all facilities to all passenger services on a single platform.

Booking IRCTC reserved, unreserved and platform tickets, tracking PNR and train status, coach position, rail help and travel feedback, all such facilities will be available in this app.

What is ‘RailOne’ app?

The focus of the RailOne app is to give a better experience to the user through an easy interface.

Through the RailOne app, the user will get all the railway services on a single platform.

The new RailOne app is available for download on both Android Playstore and iOS App Store platforms.

This app has single-sign-on capability, meaning the user will not need to remember multiple passwords.

Users will not need separate apps for all railway services, which will reduce the need for device storage.

The app will also have the facility of R-Wallet (Railway e-Wallet). Users can access the account through mPIN and biometric login options.

Indian railway travelers use several apps and websites for many services. These include IRCTC Rail Connect for ticket booking, IRCTC e-catering Food on Track for ordering food, Rail Madad for giving feedback, UTS for buying unreserved tickets and National Train Inquiry System for monitoring the movement of trains.

IRCTC Rail Connect has exclusive rights for reserved ticket booking. Rail Connect has crossed 100 million downloads, making it the most popular application of the railways. External travel booking platforms rely on IRCTC for train booking, which shows its important role in online railway reservations.
