Maruti Suzuki will support startups, took this step, understand here how help will be available
The country’s leading automobile company Maruti Suzuki India said that it has partnered with the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to promote and support startups developing technology-based solutions in the automobile manufacturing and mobility sector. According to PTI news, the company said in a statement that startups recognized by DPIIT under the ‘Startup India’ initiative will get an opportunity to participate in Maruti Suzuki’s innovation programs.
What will startups get?
According to Maruti Suzuki, selected startups will get many benefits. According to the news, mentorship and industry insights from experts, access to the company’s extensive network and infrastructure, real-time testing and validation opportunity, platform to connect with incubators, accelerators and investors will be available.
Support to promising startups will accelerate
Maruti Suzuki India’s Senior Executive Officer for Corporate Affairs Rahul Bharti said, through this partnership with DPIIT, we will be able to further accelerate our efforts to support promising startups so that they can develop technology-based solutions in the field of automobile manufacturing and mobility.
At the same time, DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjeev said that this agreement (MoU) is an important step towards creating a strong platform where startups will be able to convert their ideas into market-ready solutions and make India a leader in next-generation industrial innovation. This partnership is considered a big step towards strengthening innovation and startup culture in the Indian auto sector.
Company’s sales in June
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI)’s total sales declined by six percent year-on-year to 1,67,993 units in the month of June. The country’s largest car manufacturer sold a total of 1,79,228 vehicles in June last year. Total domestic passenger vehicles dispatched to dealers declined by 13 per cent to 1,18,906 units last month as against 1,37,160 units in the same month a year ago.
