After Tesla, Vinfast opens first showroom in India: This showroom in Surat will showcase VF 6 and VF 7, company plans to open 35 dealerships

After Elon Musk’s Tesla, now Vietnam’s electric maker Vinfast has opened its first showroom in India in Surat, Gujarat. This 3,000 square feet showroom was inaugurated on Sunday (July 27).

This showroom is a big step for Vinfast towards making its presence in India’s electric vehicle (EV) market. This showroom will showcase Vinfast’s upcoming premium electric SUV – VF 6 and VF 7. India is also the first market where Vinfast is launching the right-hand drive version of VF 6 and VF 7.

Plan to open 35 dealerships in more than 27 cities

Vinfast plans to open 35 dealerships in more than 27 cities of India by the end of this year. The vehicles will be assembled at the company’s upcoming manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

Pre-booking for the company’s electric SUV VF 6 and VF 7 has started from July 15, 2025. Customers can book their vehicle by depositing Rs 21,000 (refundable) at the showroom or by visiting the company’s website VinFastAuto.in.

India is a strategic market for the company

Vinfast said in a statement, ‘A factory will soon be built in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The vehicles will be assembled in this factory itself. India is a strategic market for the company. Making India an electric vehicle production hub in the future is the company’s long term commitment.’

VinFast partners with RoadGrid-MyTVS

VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, MyTVS and Global Assure to provide charging and after-sales services across the country. The company has also joined hands with BatX Energies to promote battery recycling and create a circular battery value chain, further strengthening the company’s commitment towards sustainable innovation.
