174 acre multimodal logistics park to be built in Greater Noida, government will soon select developer, employment will be available

A 174.12 acre multimodal logistics park is to be developed in Greater Noida adjacent to Delhi. It is proposed. The Uttar Pradesh government may soon select a developer for its construction. According to PTI news, the aim of this ambitious project is to accelerate industrial investment in the state and make the process of freight transportation faster and efficient. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority recently invited tenders for this project.

Three big companies – Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited, Super Handlers and Empezar Logistics have shown interest in the Multimodal Logistics Park project. The proposals of all these companies will be reviewed by a high-level committee headed by the Chief Secretary, which will take the final decision.

What did the minister say?

Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ said that three companies have applied for the Multimodal Logistics Park in Greater Noida. The committee will soon consider them and take a decision. He also said that the aim of the state government is to make Uttar Pradesh the top investment destination of the country. For this, investor-friendly policies are being implemented.

This project has strategic importance

This logistics park is considered very important from many points of view. Because being near Jewar Airport (Noida International Airport), there will be convenience in air cargo transportation. There will be a direct connection with the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and there will also be a dry port of CONCOR located nearby, which provides container handling facilities

174.12 acres of land will be allotted in Kappa-2 sector of Greater Noida. The land will be given on leasehold basis, the tenure of which will be 90 years. A minimum investment of ₹1,200 crore is required for the project (excluding land value). This logistics park will not only establish Greater Noida as a major logistics hub, but will also create thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region. The project will prove to be another concrete initiative of the Uttar Pradesh government towards industrial development and self-reliance.
