Ola Electric launches S1 Pro Sport, know price, range
Ola Electric, one of the largest electric two-wheeler companies, has launched the new electric scooter S1 Pro Sport at its ‘Sankalp’ event on the occasion of Independence Day. This is a sport-focused variant in the S1 range of the company’s electric scooters. Its starting price is Rs 1,49,999 (ex-showroom). Booking for this can be done for Rs 999. Sales of electric two-wheelers have increased rapidly in the country in the last few years.
The S1 Pro Sport has a 13 kW Ferrit motor developed by Ola Electric. It has a sport-tuned suspension and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This is the first time that this technology has been used in an electric scooter in the country. It has an aerodynamic design, small windscreen and daytime running lights to enhance visibility. This electric scooter has a carbon fiber front fender and grab rail. It has collision warning, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and speeding alert.
This electric scooter has a 5.2 kWh battery. Ola Electric claims that its IDC range is around 320 km. The S1 Pro Sport has a top speed of 152 km/h. It can reach a speed of 0 to 40 km/h in two seconds. Its new ferrite magnet motor generates a peak output of 16 kW and a torque of 71 Nm. Its front mounted camera can act as a dashcam. The interface of this electric scooter is supported by a voice assistant, customizable display themes and smart charging.
It has telescopic front forks and preload-adjustable rear monoshock. This electric scooter has front and rear disc brakes. It has 34 liters of storage space under the seat. The Ola S1 Pro Sport will be delivered early next year. The company has also changed the pricing of the 5.2 kWh battery variant of its S1 Pro+ and the 9.1 kWh variant of the electric motorcycle Roadster X+. An additional discount of Rs 10,000 is being offered on both these models till August 17.
