Adani Enterprises sells stake in grocery company Wilmar: Profit rises 84% to ₹3,199 crore, revenue declines 6% in Q2
Adani Enterprises Limited, the flagship company of the Adani Group, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹3,199 crore in the second quarter of FY2026. This represents an 84% increase year-on-year. In the same quarter last year, the company had a profit of ₹1,741 crore.
Adani Enterprises has sold its stake in grocery company Adani Wilmar, resulting in a profit of ₹3,583 crore. This one-time profit is also included in the company’s second quarter profit.
The company’s revenue declined by 6% to ₹21,249 crore.
However, the company’s consolidated revenue from operations declined by 6% to ₹21,249 crore in the July-September quarter. It was ₹22,608 crore in the same quarter last year.
During the second quarter, the company earned a total of ₹21,844 crore, a year-on-year increase of 5.82%. In the July-September quarter last year, the company earned ₹23,196 crore.
The company will raise ₹25,000 crore in funds.
Along with the results, the company’s board of directors also announced plans to raise ₹25,000 crore through a rights issue. This rights issue will be through partially paid-up equity shares.
The face value of these shares will be ₹1 per share. The company stated that only eligible shareholders will be able to participate in the rights issue. The record date for this will be decided later.
