Google Maps will tell you the speed limit! Google’s special project began in this Uttar Pradesh city.

A major partnership has been formed between Google and the administration in Noida, a major city in Uttar Pradesh. As part of this partnership, Google has launched a feature that will show drivers the speed limit directly on Google Maps. This means that not only navigation, but also the speed limit for the road will be visible on the map. The map will also indicate accident-prone areas on the road. Let’s explore how this feature will work and how it will benefit drivers.

Google Maps will now also show drivers the speed limit on roads in Noida. This feature has been launched under the Google Speed Limit Project. Noida has become the first city to implement it. The agreement was signed between the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate and Google. It was launched virtually on November 12th by Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Krishnan.

Under this feature, Google Maps will now display the speed limit on roads across the city. It will also alert drivers about accident-prone areas. This will enable drivers to drive more cautiously in areas with a high accident risk. The project aims to make roads safer and reduce road accident deaths.

According to the report, official data shows that approximately 53% of road accidents in Uttar Pradesh are caused by overspeeding. The UP Police aims to reduce such accidents by 50% within a year. Approximately 22,000 people die in road accidents in Uttar Pradesh every year, which is four times more than the number of deaths due to crime. It is hoped that this partnership with Google will yield positive results and reduce the number of daily road accidents caused by overspeeding.
