OLA Launches Non-AC Cab Service Nationwide, Fares Will Be Cheaper, New Option Available in App

Ola Consumer, a mobile app-based online cab service provider, has launched non-AC cab service nationwide. The company announced the launch of the non-AC cab service on Tuesday. According to a statement from Ola Consumer, with this new service, the company has become the only company in the country to offer this new option to a large number of travelers across the country. This service reinforces the company’s commitment to providing more choice to its customers.

New Service Launched Keeping Passenger Needs in Mind

An Ola Consumer spokesperson said on Tuesday, “With non-AC travel services, we are pushing the boundaries of making urban transportation affordable and accessible in India. Millions of people rely on daily, value-based transportation, and this offering has been designed with their needs in mind.” The spokesperson added that the initial response has been incredible and demonstrates how strongly India desires more transparent, robust, and reasonably priced transportation.

Drivers will also benefit

A company spokesperson further stated, “This initiative is another step towards our goal of rethinking transportation in India and making it truly inclusive for every consumer.” Ola stated that the new service also creates significant opportunities for drivers, helping them reach a larger segment of passengers who prefer affordable fares. Furthermore, with reduced AC usage and lower fuel load, drivers can achieve better cost efficiency and earn higher incomes.

The option of non-AC cabs was not available before today.

Until now, mobile app-based online cab service providers did not offer customers the option to choose between AC and non-AC cabs. When booking a cab using their mobile phone, the AC fare is included in the fare. However, there have been numerous complaints from passengers on social media platforms about drivers refusing to use AC in their cabs.
