Vedanta acquires new company, will now enter new business
Vedanta Limited has received a major approval from NCLT Kolkata. The company has been granted permission to acquire 100% of Incab Industries. This company, which was stuck in the IBC process for nearly six years, will now come under Vedanta’s control, enabling Vedanta to establish a strong presence in the downstream copper and aluminum business. Incab’s power cables, industrial wires, and fiber optics will directly benefit from Vedanta’s metal ecosystem.
With this decision, Vedanta will now acquire 100% management control and full shareholding of Incab Industries.
The company will complete this acquisition through an all-cash payment of ₹545 crore, which Vedanta will fund from its internal accruals.
What Incab Industries does: Incab manufactures power cables, industrial wires, fiber optic cables, and rubber-plastic-based wiring products.
Copper and aluminium play the most important role in their manufacturing – which is Vedanta’s strongest metal category.
