Starlink internet is twice as expensive as Jio-Airtel
In India, the internet services of the two major players, Jio and Airtel, are much cheaper than Starlink. However, their internet comes via fiber optics, which has limited coverage. Starlink’s internet, on the other hand, comes via satellite. It can be used from anywhere, whether you are in a forest, on a mountain, or in a remote village.
How will the internet reach you from satellites?
Satellites make beam internet coverage possible from any part of the earth. The satellite network provides users with high-speed, low-latency internet coverage. Latency refers to the time it takes for data to travel from one point to another.
The Starlink kit includes a Starlink dish, a Wi-Fi router, power supply cables, and a mounting tripod. For high-speed internet, the dish needs to be placed under an open sky. The Starlink app is available on iOS and Android, and it handles everything from setup to monitoring.
