The Postal Department’s 3 New Services

• 24 Speed ​​Post: Under this service, your important documents will reach their destination on the very next day after booking.
• 24 Speed ​​Post Parcel: Designed for heavier items or boxes, this service guarantees delivery within 24 hours.
• 48 Speed ​​Post: In this option, your parcel will take two days (48 hours) to reach its destination; this serves as a slightly more affordable alternative.

Phase 1 Launched in 6 Cities, Including Delhi and Mumbai

The Postal Department has initially launched these services in six major metropolitan cities across the country. These include Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

To ensure that delivery timelines are met in these cities, the Department has established dedicated processing units and will utilize air transport to dispatch parcels.

No Parcel Without an OTP: 4 Key Features

The Postal Department has also implemented significant upgrades in terms of security and technology:

OTP-Based Delivery: Now, the postman will hand over a parcel only after you enter the correct OTP on their mobile device. This eliminates the risk of parcels falling into the wrong hands.

Real-Time Tracking: You can track the live location of your parcel directly from your mobile phone. You will receive SMS notifications providing updates on every step of the process, from the moment the parcel is booked until it is delivered.

Free Pickup: If you wish to send multiple parcels simultaneously (bulk booking), the Postal Department will collect the parcels directly from your home or office free of charge. BNPL Facility: A ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ (BNPL) facility has also been provided for corporate and business customers.
