Satellite internet to bring online services to remote areas

Lauren Dreyer, Vice President of Business Operations at Starlink, stated that reaching the last person is crucial for India’s 100% digital development.

To achieve this, the government and the industry must work together rather than relying solely on traditional methods. Satellite internet can extend online services to remote areas that previously lacked internet connectivity.

Focus shifts from just internet to the AI economy

GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath remarked that India’s digital foundation is now fully established; therefore, discussions should not be limited to internet connectivity alone.

With a user base exceeding one billion, the focus must now shift to making telecom networks smarter and more powerful to foster the AI economy and new technologies in the country.
