Jio Android Phone to launch by early 2021, could be priced around Rs 4,000

Earlier this year at the Annual General Meet (AGM), Mukesh Ambani had announced the partnership with Google to release a new Android smartphone at an affordable price. Google and Jio are both eyeing to make affordable low-range 4G and 5G phones available for the Indian consumers soon. Some latest leaks tell more details about the expected low-price smartphone by Google and Reliance Jio.

According to a recent post in Bloomberg, Reliance Industries is quite passionately working to meet its target of manufacturing 200 million entry-level smartphone sets in the next two years. Subsequently, the company has also asked all the local manufacturers to accelerate their production.

The report indicates that these phones may present various optimizations from the Android operating system and Play Store. Other features of these smartphones will include cheap data packs and start at just Rs 4,000 ($54). As of now, the all new Jio-Google phones may witness the light of the day only by the end of 2020 or by early 2021.
