New Update Available For Xiaomi Mi A2 With September Patch, Bug Fixes

Xiaomi Mi A2 is now getting a new update that comes along the September 2020 Android security patch. Besides that, the update also resolves a few bugs that have been annoying the users for a while now. The bugs include the unexpected disappearance of the split-screen feature for some users, restraining them from using multiple apps at the same time. The latest Mi A2 update also fixes the echo issues, however partially. The Xiaomi Mi A2 was made available for purchase in July last year and it got the Android 10 update earlier this year.

The starting of the global release for the Mi A2 new update was confirmed via the forums pages. The update has a build number V11.0.14.0.QDIMIXM. The report suggests that the update will be available partially for some users initially and it will be provided in batches. Mi A2 users can check for the update, by moving to the Settings > System > System Update.

The update also carries along plenty of fixes along with the September 2020 patch. It resolves a bug that was causing the split-screen function to suddenly disappear for some users. The update also fixes the echo bug issue, partially. This bug causes a user to hear an echo of his own voice when calling someone using the preloaded app. The latest post on the Mi Community forums hints that this bug emerged after the Android 10 update. However, the new update doesn’t completely fixes the echo bug issue and it still persists in some devices.

The report also mentions a slew of other irritating bugs that have been noticed on the Mi A2. These include a glitch that makes Wi-Fi network switching very slow and a camera bug that causes the primary camera to not focus properly. Some Mi A2 users are reportedly also noticing screen flickers when using Twitter and GIFs autoplay. Xiaomi is likely to address all these issues in future updates.
