This new feature of WhatsApp is being tested on the beta version of Android. At present, videos up to 16 MB in size can be sent or forwarded through the WhatsApp app. According to reports, the information about this new feature of WhatsApp, it is being tested on Android’s beta version 2.21.14.6. Beta version ‘Video upload quality’ option is available during testing. A screenshot of the new feature is being circulated. According to the screenshot, after the update, users will get three options before sending the video, which include ‘Auto (recommended)’, ‘Best quality’ and ‘Data saver’.

Under the ‘Auto (recommended)’ option, WhatsApp will automatically determine the quality of the video and compress and send the video. Whereas under ‘Best quality’ the video will go in HD and under the ‘Data saver’ option the video will be sent in low quality. If you want to send video in ‘Best Quality’ it will take a long time to receive the video, although it will also depend on the speed of the network.
