Company can withdraw PLI application

The Government of India had selected 20 companies, including Ford India, for the Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI). But now the company can withdraw its application because Ford India will no longer invest in India.

Know what is the reason for this decision

People aware of this development have said that the company did not find it business-friendly due to volume projection and non-fulfillment of internal targets. In such a situation, it was decided to drop the plan.
