According to this, the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik has also given approval to Adani Group to set up the factory. However, no statement has been issued by Adani Enterprises in this regard.

According to media reports, quoting the information given by the CM’s office, it has been said that Adani Group has been given approval to set up this refinery in Rayagada district of Orissa. According to this report, Adani is going to invest $ 5.2 billion (Rs 41 thousand crore) on this project. It is being told that the total capacity of this alumina refinery will be 4 million tonnes.

With its entry into this sector, the Adani Group will give competition to the country’s giants Tata and Birla Group, who are already working in this sector, with this new business. Let us inform that Indian industrialist Gautam Adani had formed a company named Mundra Aluminum Limited in December 2021. Since then, there were speculations that the Adani Group might soon set up a plant related to aluminum production. At present, Tata Group, Aditya Birla Group and Vedanta Resources Limited are working in this area.
