China: Companies are not accepting the US order to stop technical cooperation with China, steps should be taken in this direction.

America’s attempt to stop the cooperation of Western companies in hi-tech with China does not seem to be successful. Under one of its recently passed laws, the US has made a provision to deny subsidies to such companies, which will do business in China. Despite this, two hi-tech companies – BASF and ABB – this week have stepped up the operation of two big plants in China.

German company BASF has opened its new industrial complex in Zhanjiang, China. On the other hand, Swedish company ABB has set up a modern robotics factory in Shanghai. BASF said on September 6 that its campus, which started in Zhanjiang, will produce 60,000 metric tons of engineering plastics every year. It will mainly be supplied to automotive and electronics factories in China.

Earlier on September 2, the Chinese newspaper China Daily reported that ABB’s robotics factory in Shanghai was almost ready. With this, production will start within a few months. The newspaper quoted Sami Atiya, the head of ABB’s robotics and discrete automation business, as saying that the robots would manufacture the robots at the 150 million euro factory. ABB is headquartered in Zurich. It is recognized as the world’s leading multinational company in process automation, motor power transmission products and electrification.

ABB’s factory has been described as in line with the goals set in the 14th Five-Year Plan of China. The plan aims to make China a global hub of robotics by 2025. China is engaged in building several industrial clusters of robotics, so that its influence in this field can increase internationally.

In July this year, French company Airbus confirmed that it had received orders for the supply of 292 A-320 aircraft from Chinese airlines – China Eastern, China Southern and Shenzhen Airlines. Earlier in May, China Southern Airlines canceled an order for 100 planes given to American company Boeing. This was said to be the result of China’s increasing tension with the US. But this did not make any difference to the French company. He accepted orders from China.

China’s pro-government newspaper Global Times wrote in its commentary on the incident – ‘A country that repeatedly talks about breaking ties, which hangs the sword of sanctions and often passes bills to limit trade, Which country can do business with him with confidence?’

Analysts say two more Western companies no longer care about the US sanctions. This will encourage China. The website Asia Times wrote in one of its comments – ‘European officials seem to be confused due to their desire to reconsider contacts with China on the one hand and the companies’ eyesight on the benefits of the Chinese market on the other.’ In this comment. It has been said that their toughness towards China is also weakening due to the harmful experience of sanctions imposed on Russia.
