Dabur buys 51 per cent stake for Rs 587.52 crore

Dabur India has announced to acquire 51 per cent stake in Badshah Masala for Rs 587.52 crore. A joint statement issued by both the companies said that Dabur has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 51 per cent stake in Badshah Masala Pvt Ltd. After this deal, Badshah Masala will now be owned by Dabur India. According to the statement, Badshah Masala currently manufactures, sells and exports ground spices, mixed spices and food products.

Dabur plans to increase food business to Rs 500 crore

Dabur India has told the stock exchange that the acquisition is in line with the company’s intention to enter new categories of the food sector. The value of Badshah Masala for this deal was Rs 1152 crore. The company said that the remaining 49 per cent stake would be acquired after five years. According to the company, Dabur India intends to grow its food business to Rs 500 crore in three years.

Dabur company’s profit declined in september quarter

According to the second quarter results released on Wednesday, the consolidated profit of Dabur India has registered a decline of 2.85 per cent year-on-year. The company’s profit for the September quarter stood at Rs 490.86 crore. At the same time, in the same quarter last year, the company had made a profit of Rs 505.31 crore.

6 percent increase in revenue

According to the data, the company’s revenue increased by six per cent to Rs 2,986.49 crore. In the same period last year, this figure was Rs 2,817 crore. Dabur’s Foods and Beverages division posted a strong growth of 30 per cent, as per the September quarter data. On the other hand, the Foods business has registered a growth of 21 per cent.
