The task of renovating Mumbai’s Dharavi slum area has been entrusted to the company of Gautam Adani, the world’s third richest man. Adani Realty, a company of Adani Group, has won the bid for the redevelopment project of Dharavi slum, beating many big companies.

According to media reports, the Maharashtra government announced the bids received for the Dharavi revival plan on November 29 (Tuesday). According to the project’s CEO SVR Srinivas, three bids were received for this. One of which Naman Group’s bid could not qualify for the bidding. After that the bids of Adani Realty and DLF were opened.

According to the CEO of the project, Adani Realty had bid for the project more than twice the bid of DLF. According to reports, the Adani Group company had bid for Rs 5,069 crore for the project related to the revival of the Dharavi scheme. At the same time, DLF bid for Rs 2,025 crore for this project. In such a situation, Adani Realty was selected for the project due to the highest bid.

The government has set a target of renovating the Dharavi slum area in 17 years. This project is a big step taken by the government to improve Mumbai in the years to come. After the completion of this project, the slum dwellers of Dharavi will be benefited. Explain that this project is worth more than Rs 20,000 crore. The government had issued a tender for the development of Dharavi slum area in the year 2019 as well, but later it was postponed due to various reasons.
