Tata: Tata will buy 250 aircraft from Airbus; PM Modi congratulated, also thanked the President of France.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron attended the launch of the new Air India-Airbus partnership via video conference. During this, the chairman of Tata Sons said that we have built a special relationship with Airbus. I am happy to announce that we have signed an agreement to buy 250 aircraft from Airbus.

Tata group chief N Chandrasekaran said that Air India will buy 250 aircraft from the Airbus company. This includes 40 wide body A-350 aircraft and 210 narrow body aircraft. An option to extend the order has also been kept in the agreement.

He said that we are connecting remote parts of the country with air connectivity through regional connectivity scheme UDAN, which is promoting economic and social development of the people. Many new opportunities are opening up in aerospace manufacturing under India’s Make in India – Make for the world vision.

He said that today the Indo-French partnership is playing a direct role in ensuring the stability and balance of the international order and the multilateral system. Whether it is the issue of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region or the global food security and health system, India and France are making positive contributions together.


India will become the hub of maintenance and repair


Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Indian aviation sector would need more than 2000 aircraft in the next 15 years. India can also become a maintenance and repair hub for the aviation sector in the region.


French President said this


Meanwhile, the French President said that this achievement shows that Airbus and all French partners are working to enhance partnership with India. We have achieved a lot with India. We have a historic opportunity to take this further.
