IBM will lay off humans, 7,800 jobs will be handed over to AI, CEO hints.

AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence model has started increasing the threat to jobs. Recently, a Chinese media and public relations company decided to replace its copywriters and graphic designers with AI in favor of AI. And now a big company like International Business Machines (IBM) is also preparing to give jobs to AI instead of humans. IBM can replace about 7,800 jobs with artificial intelligence in the coming time.

Is this what the company says?

According to the report of Bloomberg News, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna himself has given this information to the media. Arvind Krishna told International Business Machines that it expects around 7,800 jobs to be replaced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the coming years. His comments come at a time when AI has captured the imagination of people across the globe following the launch of Microsoft-backed OpenAI’s viral chatbot, ChatGPT, in November last year.

According to the company, the reduction does not include replacement of positions vacated by the accident. Last month, it was reported that investors in US tech giants would scrutinize whether cost-cutting and layoffs boosted the companies’ profits. However, the companies emphasized on how artificial intelligence will be their next growth driver.

Tech sector is facing layoffs
Let us tell you that in the last year itself, there has been a large amount of retrenchment in companies. Not only this, tech companies are still working on taxing the number of employees. Amazon, along with Microsoft, Meta and Alphabet, said they would eliminate 70,000 jobs between November and March in a rapidly weakening economy. Meta has announced two rounds of layoffs. These companies are now focusing more on AI.
