Meta India director Manish Chopra resigns, joining in 2019.

Manish Chopra, director of Meta and head of partnerships in India, has announced his resignation. Chopra joined Meta in 2019 and serves as its director and head of partnerships in India. He has given information about his resignation through a LinkedIn post. He said in his LinkedIn post that he will also provide details about the change in the next few weeks.


“Grateful to the company for trusting me to build on our efforts to drive growth and engagement across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp,” he wrote in his LinkedIn post. I’m very proud of the work the team and I have done to be an ally to creators and businesses across the country. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you!’


Manish Chopra joined Meta as Director and Head of Partnerships in India in January 2019. He said on his resignation that it has been 4.5 years of an incredible journey leading Meta Partnership in India. I am stepping down from my role.


Regarding the ongoing layoffs in the tech world and the company itself, he said that in recent months there have been many efforts for everyone. I know this team has shown immense care and selflessly helped each other. He said that he will give information about the new beginning soon.


Earlier in November last year, India head Abhijit Bose of instant messaging app WhatsApp resigned. Along with Abhijeet, Meta India’s Director of Public Policy Rajeev Agarwal also resigned from his post. In November itself, Meta India’s country head Ajit Mohan had resigned. There was news about Ajit Mohan that he is going to join Snapchat.
