The company has said that it is working on an investment plan of $ 12.7 billion (about Rs 1,05,600 crore) in cloud infrastructure by the year 2030. The company has said that this investment plan is being made in view of the increasing demand for cloud service in India.

Company’s investment will bring opportunities for new jobs


Giving further information about its investment plan, the company has said that investment in data center infrastructure will create new job opportunities in India.


With this scheme of the company, an average of 1,31,700 (full-time equivalent) jobs will be given every year in India. With this scheme of Amazon, there will be opportunities for jobs in construction, facility maintenance, engineering, telecommunication and other fields in India.


Company’s two data center infrastructure in India


Explain that the company has two data center infrastructure in India. AWS Asia Pacific Mumbai Region was launched in the year 2016, while the second AWS Asia Pacific Hyderabad Region was launched in November 2022. The company has invested more than 30,900 crores from 2016 to 2022 in AWS Asia Pacific Mumbai Region.


This investment of the company created approximately 39,500 (full-time equivalent) jobs annually in India.


On the other hand, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar has said in a statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India vision focuses on the expansion of cloud and data centers in India.
