Akasa Air: 20th aircraft joined Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s company, it is Asia’s first airline to get it.

New Delhi: You must have known Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, who is called the Big Bull of India. He founded an airline named Akasa Air. This company has included the 20th aircraft in its fleet. This plane is the Boeing 737 Max. This is the 737-8-200 edition of the MAX aircraft. With this, Akasaa Air has become the first airline in Asia to induct this aircraft.

Delivery was received on last Friday only.

The Boeing 737-8-200 that has been included in Akasa Air has the registration number VT YAV. The keys of this aircraft were handed over to Aqasa on July 28, 2023 in Seattle, USA. The flight reached Bengaluru at 09:31 am today. It is noteworthy that the fleet size of this company has reached 20 aircraft within a year of starting the operation. Meaning that now Akasa Air has become eligible to start international flights.

The Boeing 737-8-200 aircraft is extremely advanced from an environmental point of view. This aircraft is known for providing the highest legroom in its class. Vinay Dubey says that Akasa Air has gone from zero to 20 aircraft within 12 months. This is not just a record for Aqasa but it is a record which shows the potential of our great country. Speaking on the occasion, Brad McMullen, Senior Vice President, Commercial Sales and Marketing, Boeing, said Akasa Air is the first airline to take delivery of the 737-8-200 in the Asia region. “The 737-8-200 will help the airline deliver on its promise of economy and unmatched customer service,” he added.
