Apple started assembling iPhones in India with Wistron in 2017. After this it also started working with Foxconn. At present it has 14 suppliers in India.

Union Minister of State for IT Rajiv Chandrashekhar said on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that TDK will set up its manufacturing facility in the northern state of Haryana. This will provide employment to about 1000 new people.

According to media reports, the cells prepared by TDK in Haryana will be supplied to Apple’s lithium ion battery assembler Sunvoda Electronics. However, no response has been given by Apple and TDP Corp on the news at this time.
