YEIDA will build 3000 ready-to-move manufacturing units for startups and MSMEs, industries will get affordable space
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced plans to build 11 flatted factory complexes along the Yamuna Expressway corridor. These complexes are designed to provide affordable industrial space to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and startups in various sectors. These multi-storey industrial facilities will have around 3,000 ready-to-use manufacturing units in five designated industrial parks focused on medical devices, semiconductors, IT, textiles and toy manufacturing.
Affordable industrial space will be available
Officials said that these complexes will address the growing challenge of getting affordable industrial space faced by small enterprises. Land prices in the area have shot up, especially due to developments like the Noida International Airport and the International Film City projects.
What are flattened factory complexes?
Flatted factory complexes are a special form of industrial infrastructure consisting of multi-storey buildings divided into individual units suitable for manufacturing, assembly and storage operations. These facilities have dedicated goods elevators.
First complex to come up in Sector 28
The first complex is to be developed in Sector 28, which will support a 350-acre medical device park, where 74 large plots have already been allotted. The five-acre complex, estimated to cost ₹125 crore, will have 240 individual units with varying floor areas. These will include 50 units of 120 sq m, 60 units of 90 sq m and 126 units of 60 sq m. The facility is designed to provide flexible space options to accommodate varying scales of medical device manufacturing operations.
