Infosys to Hire 21,000 Freshers in 2026: Offering Packages Up to ₹21 Lakh; Salaries Divided into 4 Slabs for Programmers and Engineers

Infosys, one of India’s largest tech companies, has increased entry-level salaries for freshers. The company is now offering packages up to ₹21 lakh per annum for specialized technology roles. This is one of the highest salaries offered to freshers in the Indian IT sector.

According to a Moneycontrol report, Infosys is preparing for an off-campus hiring drive for students graduating in 2025. The company will recruit 21,000 freshers by next year, offering them packages ranging from ₹7 lakh to ₹21 lakh.

Who will get how much salary?

The company has divided the salary structure into four different categories based on the role. This hiring is primarily for positions such as ‘Specialist Programmer’ and ‘Digital Specialist Engineer’.

Specialist Programmer L3 (Trainee): Freshers selected for this role will receive the highest package of ₹21 lakh per annum.

Specialist Programmer L2: Candidates selected at this level will be offered a package of ₹16 lakh.

Specialist Programmer L1: Freshers in this category will receive an annual salary of ₹11 lakh.

Digital Specialist Engineer (Trainee): Freshers for this role are being offered a package of ₹7 lakh.

Target to hire 20,000 freshers this year

While many tech companies are reporting layoffs, Infosys has accelerated its hiring pace. Infosys CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka stated in October that the company had hired 12,000 freshers in the first half of fiscal year 2026. This year, the company’s overall target is to hire 21,000 fresh graduates.

Infosys has recorded an increase in its employee count for the fifth consecutive quarter. In the second quarter (Q2), the company added 8,203 new employees, bringing the total workforce to 331,991.
