In a major announcement, Reliance Retail Limited stated that it has acquired Anomaly, the global haircare brand founded by Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas. According to a report by PTI, the financial terms of the deal have been kept confidential. The company confirmed that the acquisition encompasses all of Anomaly’s trademarks, brand assets, and digital properties. Reliance Retail now plans to drive the brand’s massive expansion—both within India and globally—leveraging its extensive omnichannel retail network and its premium beauty platform, Tira.

Purpose of the Acquisition

This deal is set to further strengthen Reliance Retail’s rapidly growing beauty and personal care portfolio. The company aims to cultivate high-growth consumer brands within India while simultaneously expanding its footprint in the global market. Anomaly was launched by Priyanka Chopra Jonas in 2021. It is a vegan, high-performance, and affordably priced haircare brand, renowned for its superior quality and accessibility.
