LPG Cylinders Now Available on Instamart; Country’s First On-Demand Quick Delivery Service Launched with HPCL
Ordering an LPG cylinder when needed is about to become easier than ever. Quick-commerce platform Instamart has announced a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to launch the country’s first on-demand LPG cylinder delivery service. Through this new service, customers can order LPG cylinders via the Instamart app and receive them quickly. Currently, the service has been launched in Bengaluru; the company has not yet provided details regarding its rollout to other cities.
Introduction of the New Cylinder
As part of this partnership, HPCL has also introduced its new ‘HP Navya’ 10 kg composite LPG cylinder to the market. Customers can order this new cylinder, as well as the existing 5 kg metal LPG cylinder, through the Instamart app. According to HPCL, the HP Navya cylinder is lighter, rust-proof, and more convenient than standard steel cylinders. Its transparent body allows consumers to easily check gas levels. It has been designed specifically with small families, apartment dwellers, and customers requiring an extra cylinder in mind.
Order Without a Domestic Gas Connection
A key feature of this service is that a pre-existing domestic gas connection is not required to order an LPG cylinder. This makes it easy for students, working professionals, tenants, and small families to order cylinders. First-time customers will receive a new cylinder, with all necessary identity verification and delivery-related documentation completed at that time. Subsequent orders will be treated as refills, and the empty cylinder will be collected upon delivery.
Strict Adherence to Safety Standards
According to the companies, all orders will be fulfilled through HPCL’s network of authorized distributors. Deliveries will be carried out by trained personnel in strict compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Amitesh Jha, CEO of Instamart, stated that the company no longer wishes to limit itself to just groceries; instead, it is working to rapidly deliver essential daily services to customers. This partnership with HPCL marks a significant step in that direction.
Digital platform to expand LPG reach
Amit Garg, Director (Marketing) at HPCL, said the company aims to bring safe and reliable LPG services to as many people as possible. Partnering with digital platforms like Instamart will provide customers with faster, easier, and more convenient service. Currently, Instamart delivers over 50,000 products across more than 131 cities in the country.
