IT companies may stop getting work from America: American activist claims – Trump is thinking of stopping work outsourcing from Indian companies
After the 50% tariff, now Donald Trump is considering stopping American IT companies from outsourcing work to countries like India. American activist and close supporter of Trump Laura Loomer has made this claim. In a social media post, Loomer wrote that ‘This means that now you do not need to press 2 for English. Make call centers American again.’
Loomer was referring to the call centers of India, from where customer support is provided cheaply for American companies. He gave it the slogan “Make call centers American again”, that is, he talked about bringing the call centers back to America.
Many American companies including Google and Amazon do outsourcing from India
Many big American tech companies, such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, IBM, Cisco, and Oracle, have their presence in India and do outsourcing. These companies run their development centers, research centers and call centers in India.
3 main reasons for outsourcing from India
Low cost: Labor cost in India is much lower than in the US, which is beneficial for US companies.
Skilled workforce: Millions of engineers and technical professionals graduate every year in India, who are skilled and provide good service.
Good IT industry: Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro in India are established globally and provide reliable services.
India IT industry may be affected
Trump administration and fear of tariffs: Recently, US President Donald Trump’s advisors have talked about imposing tariffs on foreign outsourcing and remote workers. This may affect India’s $283 billion IT industry, as this industry is heavily dependent on the US. This may reduce jobs for Indian professionals.
Trump recently said that he is ready to reset relations with India

Earlier on Friday morning at around 6 am, he wrote on social media Truth, ‘It seems that we have lost India and Russia to China. Hopefully their future will be good.’
