Potato Farming: PepsiCo India will give huge benefits to farmers.

PepsiCo India has prepared a mobile app regarding potato cultivation. This will prevent the wastage of the crop. Now the farmer brothers will be able to give timely water and proper quantity of fertilizers and pesticides to their potato crop. All this will be possible through ‘crop and plot level intelligence model’. Significantly, PepsiCo has prepared an intelligence model through its product ledge. This will be helpful to the farmers in potato cultivation. This model has been started as a pilot project in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Will be able to get good weather information at the right time

According to PepsiCo, there are many reasons due to which farmers have to face difficulties during farming. Potato farmers have to face many challenges along with the weather. Many times farmers do not understand at what time they should irrigate. When is the right time for this. And when to apply fertilizers and pesticides in potato cultivation. Along with this, they do not have any specific information regarding the weather. Sometimes potato crops get badly damaged due to cold wave. Now farmers will get benefit from this model of PepsiCo. They can get good weather information at the right time through satellite.

Significantly, Cropin is a leading Agri Tech company. With the help of agri-tech firm Cropin, PepsiCo India has put forward crop and plot level intelligence models. With the help of this model, farmers will get complete information ten days in advance. With this, farmers will be alert about the change in the weather. If there is any disease in the crops at the initial stage, then it can be treated. A mobile app has been developed with the help of this model. It will give updated information to the farmers.
