ONDC launched in 5 cities including Mumbai, Delhi: no need for separate apps for shopping, can buy products by comparing prices.

Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) launched its beta phase on Thursday in 5 cities Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. With the addition of the new cities, the ONDC network is now available to buyers and sellers across seven cities in India.

It was first launched in September 2022 in Bengaluru. Then it went live in Meerut in December 2022. There is no need for separate apps like Amazon, Flipkart, Zomato for shopping in this. You can buy any product by comparing the price here.

ONDC can be used through apps like Paytm

Consumers in these seven cities will now be able to shop from sellers on the ONDC network through four active buyer applications namely Paytm, MyStore, Spice Money and MagicPin. Currently around 40,000 sellers are connected to this network in more than 200 cities.
