Noida-Greno becomes first choice of defence, aerospace and semi conductor industry

New Delhi: The new policy being made for allotment of industrial plots in Noida and Greno Authority has been finalized. In the policy, 40 more new industries have been included in the list of industries to be set up in both the authority areas. Defense, aerospace and semi-conductor manufacturing industries are important among these. Now groups associated with these industries will also apply for plots directly in Noida and Greno Authority and set up their units. A major change in the policy is that along with the removal of e-auction, the draw process applicable for allotment of plots of area less than 4 thousand square meters has also been removed. Now allotment of all plots will be based on interview and other standards. An online meeting was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of the Industrial Development Commissioner to set this standard and make a policy. It is noteworthy that earlier the allotment of industrial plots in all three authorities of the district was being done through e-auction. The Industrial Development Commissioner had issued a letter and removed the e-auction. After this a new policy had to be made. It was decided that other standards of application including interview would be kept in this new policy. Then Noida and Greno Authority got its draft made. Besides, workouts were also conducted at the government level.

In this, 100 numbers of plot allotment were kept. Rest of the company’s current position, investment, cash flow, employment opportunities, liabilities, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and other parameters have been kept. Now these standards have also been decided and how many marks are to be given on which standard. If the company is included in the list of Fortune or Forbes then it will be given priority in allotment. Earlier the allotment was done through draw and interview, but then with the claim of transparency, the system of e-auction was started in the allotment of industrial plots in all the three authorities from April 2022 onwards. The decision to allot plots through e-auction was taken in the board meetings of Noida, Greno and Yamuna Authority on 04, 05 and 26 April 2022. The system was implemented that the allotment of plots of area less than 4 thousand square meters would be done through draw and the remaining allotment would be done through e-auction. After this, 3 schemes were launched and plots were allotted in Noida Authority. Similarly, e-auctions were held several times in Greno and Yamuna also. The authority was benefiting from the e-auction. But many entrepreneurial organizations were not in favor of it.

New concept of sunrise sector

A new concept of Sunrise Sector has come for Noida-Greno in the Industrial Plot Allocation Policy. Its objective is to emphasize on cluster development by establishing similar industries at one place. Sunrise sector is called information technology, it is known as IT sector in English. With this concept, IT sector will get special invitation in Noida-Greno with convenience. Till now 142 industries were included in the list in Noida. These have been increased to 182.

Noida-Greno Authority will launch its scheme soon

According to information received from sources, Noida-Greno Authority has received instructions from the government level on the finalized policy. The instructions are to prepare brochures to launch the scheme of plot allotment on the basis of this policy. After this both the authorities have started preparations. Noida Authority is preparing to launch a scheme for about 12 plots and Greater Noida Authority is preparing to launch a scheme for 30-35 industrial plots. Due to a road in Noida, connectivity of 8 industrial plots has not been possible. If this road is built in Sector-164, the authority can include 20 plots in the scheme. All these plots are of large area.
