Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal will launch global AI startup: It will have its primary operating center in Bengaluru and headquarters in Singapore.

Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal is preparing to launch a global AI startup. For this he has hired a team of 15 people, most of whom are scientists. Along with this, there are plans to add more employees within the next few months. Bloomberg has given information about this quoting sources.

According to the report, the primary operating center of the startup will be in Bengaluru and the headquarters will be in Singapore. Through his AI startup, Binny wants to provide AI products and services to corporate clients like Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys.

Flipkart started with a two-bedroom apartment

Binny Bansal, an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, entered the e-commerce sector in 2007 along with his childhood friend Sachin Bansal. Flipkart started from a two-bedroom apartment in Bengaluru, where the duo started selling books online.

In 2018, Binny sold its entire stake to Walmart for $16 billion. However, he is still on the board of Flipkart and holds shares in Flipkart’s digital payments service PhonePe. Recently he came into limelight for investing in tech startups.
