Now children will be able to watch Pokemon show on JioCinema: Reliance signs deal with ‘The Pokemon’, more than 1000 episodes available on the platform

Now children will also be able to watch Pokemon series on Reliance JioCinema OTT platform. For this, Reliance’s entertainment unit Viacom 18 has signed a deal with The Pokemon Company. According to media reports, the company has made this deal to deal with the increasing competition with Walt Disney Company and other streaming services. After the deal signed this month, JioCinema’s streaming app has got the rights to broadcast specials of more than 1,000 episodes and about 20 films of Japanese anime series. However, how much money Reliance has spent for this deal has not been disclosed.

These shows and movies will be dubbed in three Indian languages, which will help in their wider dissemination. Pokémon has spawned a billion-dollar media franchise spanning trading cards, games, TV shows, and movies. GeoCinema has also become a part of it now.

Preparation to add about 3000 hours of child focused content

According to media reports, JioCinema is preparing to add a total of about 3000 hours of child-focused content for children. It includes movies and shows from Entertainment One, Animacord, Cartoon Network Studios, and Dream Works.
