Flipkart will provide same day delivery in these cities

New Delhi: E-commerce website Flipkart has started the same day delivery facility (Flipkart Offers Same Day Delivery Service) in 20 cities. In these cities, product delivery will start on the same day the order is placed. Keeping in mind the benefit of millions of customers in metro and non-metro cities, Flipkart is going to start same day delivery of products in many categories. It is going to start from February. Under this, customers in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Patna, Raipur, Siliguri and Vijayawada who place their orders before 1 pm. Place, the product will be delivered to them before 12 midnight on the same night. According to Flipkart, gradually this facility will be made available to more and more customers across the country.

Facility will be available in these categories

Under this initiative of Flipkart, customers will get the facility of same day delivery of products in the categories of mobiles, fashion, beauty products, lifestyle, books, home appliances and electronics. With this, customers will be able to get many of the products they need within a single day. According to Flipkart, it delivers more than 12 crore packages a month and has invested heavily in strengthening its supply chain to reach customers in remote areas of the country.

According to Hemant Badri, Senior Vice President and Head of Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Recommerce Business of Flipkart Group, ‘We have stepped into 2024. In this new year, lakhs of customers across the country will get the facility to get delivery of lakhs of products on the same day of placing the order. Currently working towards providing same day delivery facility in 20 cities. After this this facility will be expanded to other cities.

Worked on technology

Flipkart has invested in several fulfillment centers in the last one year to provide same-day delivery facilities. It has also increased its capacity at the level of technology for better sorting of products and higher throughput (more package output in the stipulated time) in its fulfillment centers, which has increased the efficiency of product delivery. Lakhs of customers are benefiting from this. According to the report, Flipkart’s team is working on machine learning models and technology solutions.
