On Wednesday, the company’s shares rose by 5.16 percent and its market cap reached $3.011 trillion. With this, it has overtaken iPhone manufacturing company Apple. Apple’s market cap remains at $3.003 trillion. Microsoft is the world’s most valuable company with $3.151 trillion. Nvidia is the third American company to touch a market cap of three trillion dollars. Before this, Microsoft and Apple have achieved this position. This year, Nvidia’s shares have increased by 155 percent. Due to this, the market cap of the company has increased by $ 1.83 trillion.

Santa Clara headquartered company Nvidia has benefited the most from the increase in demand for AI chips. Last year the company’s shares had risen by 239 percent, whereas this year it has risen by 155 percent. The company’s founder and CEO Jensen Huang recently said that the company will launch its most advanced AI chip platform Rubin in 2026. It will replace Blackwell, which supplies chips to data centers. It was launched in March and then the company had described it as the world’s most powerful chip. Nvidia’s share in AI chip sales in the world is about 70 percent. This is the reason why analysts around the world feel that the company’s stock can go further higher.

Huang accumulated wealth

Taiwan-born Huang founded Nvidia in 1993. He holds 3.5% stake in the company. With the rise in Nvidia’s shares, Huang’s net worth has also increased at rocket speed. This year he is the highest earning person. According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Huang’s net worth has increased by $63.4 billion this year. He is the 13th richest person in the world with a net worth of $107 billion. If his net worth continues to grow at this pace, he may soon overtake Mukesh Ambani. Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, is currently the 11th richest person in the world with a net worth of $109 billion.
