Nissan has a workforce of 1 lakh 30 thousand employees. The strength of the workforce is also likely to be negatively affected by the layoff of about 10,000 people. However, the UK factory is said to be untouched by this layoff. The company has suffered a huge loss in the last quarter. According to the report, Nissan has suffered a loss of 9 billion yen. Whereas, during the same period last year, the company had a profit of 191 billion yen.

The company says that its situation is serious at the moment. It is facing high costs in sales and factory. Especially in America, dealers have a lot of such cars which can force the company to give heavy discounts. Nissan said that it wants to reach the point where it will be profitable if it can sell 3.5 million cars per year. But till March, the company sold only 3.4 million cars.
