Tata Group will invest Rs 550 crore in Noida Airport, know what is the plan
New Delhi: Tata Power will invest Rs 550 crore in the Noida International Airport being built in Jewar near Delhi. This Tata Group company will supply wind and solar power to Noida International Airport. Along with this, the company will also develop critical dry utilities and smart energy infrastructure at the airport. The first phase of Noida International Airport will have one runway and one terminal. It can handle 1.2 crore passengers annually. The first phase is expected to start in April next year. It will be developed in four phases. On completion of all the phases, the airport can handle seven crore passengers annually.
Two power purchase agreements related to wind and solar energy supply were signed today between Tata Power and Noida Airport. This agreement has been done for 25 years. Commenting on the partnership, Tata Power CEO and MD Dr. Praveer Sinha said that Tata Power is proud to partner with Noida International Airport. As the country enhances its aviation infrastructure, we are playing a leading role in this direction by providing innovative green energy solutions. This collaboration will support the development of a net-zero airport, serving millions of Indians and accelerating the country’s path towards a greener future.
