Suzuki e-Access will soon be seen running on the roads! Production started

Now the well-known 2-wheeler company Suzuki has also joined the race to dominate the electric vehicles segment in India. The company has started the production of its first electric scooter ‘e-Access’ at its manufacturing unit in Gurgaon, Haryana. Earlier, Suzuki unveiled the e-scooter at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Battery and technology

e-Access will be based on Suzuki’s e-technology. It will be powered by a 3.07kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which claims to provide a range of 95 km. The battery has been engineered for better thermal stability and durability, having undergone rigorous tests including submersion, vibration, drop and very high temperatures.

Talking about charging, it takes 6 hours and 42 minutes to charge with a standard charger, while fast charging reduces this time to only 2 hours and 12 minutes. The e-scooter can be charged anywhere through a portable charger.

A look at the features

The e-scooter has features like regenerative braking, maintenance-free belt drive and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector-e (SDMS-e). SDMS-e offers three ride modes – Eco, Ride A and Ride B as well as a reverse mode for ease of parking. The maximum speed of e-Access will be 71 kmph.

How is the look of e-Access

The e-Access comes with a clean and complementary look. It has 12-inch alloy wheels, a full-LED lighting system and a brightly colored instrument cluster that shows ride data. The switchgear has been kept simple.

Suzuki has currently started preparations to ensure its better sales, which includes training technical staff and setting up dedicated service infrastructure across India. Suzuki e-ACCESS can be seen competing with big names like Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ola S1 in the market.
