Vistara Airlines: Tata’s Vistara has decided to reduce the number of flights, this is the reason!

New Delhi: Tata Group’s full service carrier Vistara has decided to reduce the number of its flights. However this decision is temporary. Actually, these days many flights of Vistara Airlines are either getting canceled or delayed. Because of this their passengers are facing a lot of problems. Now the company has accepted this and decided to immediately reduce the number of flights. It is noteworthy that the merger of Vistara and Air India is proposed.

What did Vistara say?

Recently, passengers of Vistara Airlines, a joint venture between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, have been writing a lot on social media about flight cancellations and flight delays. The company also accepted this on Monday. An airline spokesperson said that in the last few days, there have been several incidents of cancellation and delay of flights due to various operational reasons, including non-availability of crew. “We have decided to temporarily reduce the number of flights to ensure adequate connectivity on our network,” the spokesperson said.

Dreamliner service also on some domestic routes

Vistara spokesperson said that they have also decided to deploy widebody aircraft like B787-9 Dreamliner and A321neo on select domestic routes. This will help in accommodating more passengers in a single flight. The company has also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to flight cancellation and delay. To deal with this inconvenience, the company is either giving the customers the option of alternate flights or they are being given refund as per rules.

Dreamliner has recently been delivered

Vistara has recently received delivery of wide body Boeing 787-9 plane, also known as Dreamliner. This is the 7th Dreamliner in its fleet. It is noteworthy that the company has ordered 56 aircraft in the year 2028. This order is being delivered in a phased manner. The company has said in the statement that at present there are a total of 70 aircraft in its fleet. These include 53 Airbus A320 Neo, 10 Airbus A321 and seven 787-9 Dreamliner.

Why did this happen

Actually, currently Vistara is facing a lot of criticism on social media. Due to delay and cancellation of flights, passengers are expressing their pain through posts on social media. Many users have complained about flight delays of up to 5 hours in the past few days. Many passengers have also complained about not being given full refund despite the flight being cancelled.
