Google Maps will save from toll tax: Google Maps introduced toll price feature, will save money on road trips

Google has introduced a new feature for Google Maps. Its name is ‘Toll Price’. With the help of this, users will now be able to find out the expected price to be charged on the toll before starting their trip and will also be able to identify the toll-free routes. While the expected toll prices will give you an idea of the total charge at the toll plaza that they are traveling on, the toll-free routes will show you the routes that do not have a toll block. In this way you can reach your destination without paying toll.

Along with this, iOS has also brought the option of Pind Trip Widget for users. Google Maps for iOS has also been updated with a pinned widget on the home screen. Whereas with Apple Watch, you can check navigation directly. The update will integrate Siri and Shortcuts with Google Maps on iOS, which is due later this year.

Features will be available in countries like India, Indonesia and America

Google said users in India, Indonesia, Japan and the US will be able to access toll prices on the Google Maps app later this month. The toll price feature will depend on the information of the local tolling officer. Google will soon bring support for the toll price feature in other countries.

Will give details on more than 2000 toll roads

The toll price feature will enable users to calculate the toll cost on their route by taking into account several factors, including payment methods like toll pass, day of the week, time of day etc. The company says that Google Maps will provide details on more than 2,000 toll roads.

Will help in finding toll free route

For users who want to avoid tolls completely, Google Maps will continue to offer the option to view the toll-free route. According to the company, users can tap on the three dots at the top of the app to access route options and avoid toll to access alternate routes.

New update for iOS users

Along with the toll price feature, the company also announced a new update for iOS users called Pinned Trip Widget. This feature will show users pinned trips in the Go tab on the Google Maps app. The update will also bring better Apple Watch support, including the ability to navigate the smartwatch automatically.
