New Delhi: Air India, once a government company, is seeing a lot of changes. Actually, since it has come into the hands of Tata, it is improving a lot. Now the company has decided that its pilots will retire in 65 years. Earlier the pilots of this company used to retire in 58 years.

Permission has been obtained from DGCA

Tata Group’s aviation company Air India has decided to allow its pilots to fly aircraft till the age of 65. According to information received from the group’s internal documents, the company has taken this decision keeping in mind the expansion plan of its fleet. According to the documents released by Air India on July 29, the DGCA has given permission to the pilots to fly the aircraft till the age of 65 years. In Air India this age limit is 58 years. Allowing pilots to fly till the age of 65 is a system followed by most airlines.

200 more aircraft are joining the fleet

Air India is actually planning to induct more than 200 new aircraft in its fleet. Of this, 70 percent of the aircraft will be small. The airline has said that to meet the requirements, it is proposed to keep the existing pilots on contract basis for five years after retirement, i.e. till the age of 65 years.
