Amazon Air: Amazon launches cargo flight service in India, Boeing 737 and 800 aircraft will be used.

Amazon India on Monday said that it has launched Amazon Air services in India to enhance its transportation network and provide faster delivery to customers. The e-commerce company said in a release that it will utilize the full cargo capacity of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Which will be operated by Quikjet Cargo Airlines Private Limited.


Amazon said it is the first e-commerce company in India to partner with third-party air carriers to provide a dedicated air cargo network. Quikjet will use this aircraft to take Amazon customers to cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai. The launch of Amazon Air in India further reinforces the company’s commitment to continue building capacity to meet the needs of its customers, deliver faster and grow its transportation network.


Amazon Air was launched in the US in 2016 and operates an air cargo network that includes more than 110 aircraft and more than 70 destinations worldwide. “This is a very important step for our sellers and our customers, as well as a huge step for the aviation industry,” said Akhil Saxena, Vice President, Customer Fulfillment (APAC, MENA and LATAM) and WW Customer Service, Amazon.
