Meta One Launched: Over 50 Features Coming to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI
Tech giant Meta has introduced Meta One globally—a new subscription service offering new features across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI. These plans offer distinct benefits tailored to general users, creators, and business users. While the standard service will remain free indefinitely, paid users will gain access to additional features. Here is a detailed look at the features of Meta One.
Meta One Pricing
Meta One plans are now available worldwide. Starting prices are $2.99 per month for single-product plans, $7.99 per month for individual bundles, and $14.99 per month for creator and business bundles.
Single-product plans include Instagram Plus ($3.99/month), WhatsApp Plus ($2.99/month), and Facebook Plus ($3.99/month).
Bundle plans for individuals and AI power users include Core ($7.99/month) and Premium ($19.99/month).
Bundle plans for businesses and creators include Essential ($14.99/month), Advanced ($49.99/month), Expert ($149/month), and Max ($499/month).
Meta One Subscription Service
It is important to note that Meta states the standard experience on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI will always remain free. However, users seeking more features, increased AI-generated content, and additional tools can opt for a paid subscription. Meta One bundles over 50 features across these apps and Meta AI, with plans to add products like AI glasses in the future. Meta has stated that these plans are being rolled out gradually; 15 million subscriptions and trials have been recorded so far. Meta One offers subscribers enhanced features and greater AI usage, allowing creators to spend more time creating and less time on tedious tasks. Additionally, businesses gain access to new tools that facilitate growth. Subscribers gain special capabilities and expanded AI access, significantly elevating the experience beyond the standard free version. The company is rolling out over 50 features across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI, with plans to soon expand these to include capabilities like advanced editing tools and AI glasses integration.
Plans for Standard and AI Power Users
Earlier this year, Meta launched the “Meta One” suite of single-product plans: Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus. These plans introduce unique features that help users connect with more people and showcase their creativity on Instagram and Facebook, while offering improved management and customization options on WhatsApp. These plans have been well-received by users and are currently being expanded.
Instagram Plus has recently added features such as custom DM and Story fonts, notifications when specific people view your Stories, and DM previews.
Facebook Plus now includes customization options for Messenger and provides deeper insights into Reels performance. The “Super Reaction” feature is also being expanded to cover both Reels and feed posts.
WhatsApp Plus will soon begin testing storage options for chat and media backups, as well as a “Focus Schedule” feature. Focus Schedule helps users protect their most important time by allowing them to mute or hide chats during specific, scheduled periods.
Meta is now taking Meta One a step further with “Core” and “Premium” bundle plans. In addition to the features found in the single-product plans, these bundles offer increased access to compute-intensive AI capabilities. This includes enhanced media generation with Meta AI—such as creating and editing images using the Muse model and generating videos—as well as greater use of in-app AI tools like “Restyle” on Instagram.
